Why did Kurti choose shorts instead of long ones?!
Albin Kurti

The dilemma of whether Albin Kurti has the will to resolve the tensions emanating from the North of Kosovo keeps getting deeper and deeper. After the already known rejections of the calls of the EU and the USA, after not welcoming Edi Rama to Pristina, today he has not even accepted to come to Tirana.

The informal meeting held in the capital today would be a good opportunity for Kurti to shake hands with regional leaders, meetings that seemed far-fetched for a prime minister who has isolated himself and is pulling the whole country behind him. However, Kurti has rejected this opportunity again with the claim that he "booked" somewhere else.

Between the suit at the meeting in Tirana and shorts at the seminar in Crete, the Prime Minister of Kosovo has chosen the latter. More precisely, he has refused the invitation to be in the capital of Albanians today with the claim that he will participate in a conference in Greece.

To clarify what is missing in the reaction of the Government of Kosovo: Albin Kurti is participating today in Crete in a meeting organized by the "Andreas Papandreu" Foundation. In the announcement of the latter, the essence is also clarified: Seminar on Ikarus Syndrome. Papandreou himself clarifies that the participants in the training will talk about the consequences of Covid-19 and the war in Ukraine. Meanwhile, the other alternative is: Meeting in Tirana with the neighbors and with Commissioner Varhelyi.

It is not known what the "Symi Symposium" of Papandreou, which pays Albin Kurti for the training in question, serves the Kosovo state itself. For the same event, a year ago, he was accused by the Kosovo opposition of having spent 45 days visiting Greece for no reason and without any state benefit.

But perhaps Kurti has not been able to break away as a civil society activist and still prefers seminars. And this would explain a lot in his behavior as a statesman.
