All the desperate lawyers of Ilir Meta are trying to relativize the bitter truth of his file, using two ridiculous arguments. The first argument is why it was discovered after 30 years and the second argument is, this is done to help Edi Rama stay in power.

According to them, the fact that Ilir Meta used his power and hid his file for 30 years, erasing the main file from the archives, they call it a merit instead of a crime. And the fact that he was discovered thanks to the persistence of the Authority that verified the data that went to them in the form of denunciations, they call it a crime and not a merit. 

For all these lawyers who want to relativize the truth, they can investigate the political life of Ilir Meta and his relations with SHISH and the Dossier Authority to understand how terrorized he was by this story. 

Beginning after the Poliçan incident, in September 1992, when Ilir Meta was stripped of his immunity in the Assembly and taken to criminal prosecution, a sudden turn occurred after Bashkim Gazidedja consulted with Sali Berisha. Suddenly he was released and became loyal to the power of Sali Berisha. As I described at length and in detail in my book "Year 97", SHIK Gazidedes turned into a press office of Ilir Meta in the internal developments of the Socialist Party until 1997. SHIK officers recorded the meetings of Fatos' people Nanos and whitewashed them on behalf of Ilir Meta, up to financial and diplomatic services for him.

The Mezini Commission for the control of files, which was in fact a semi-ridiculous institution, since it only functioned on orders for special persons, declared as spies in the Socialist Party those who recommended Ilir Meta to Sali Berisha and of course used the clause of the law that said "the decision has been made on those materials that were found". With this clause, the Commission was in order, if a spy did not declare himself a spy, to say that he did not find the file.

After Ilir Meta's wild clash with Sali Berisha in 2000, when Berisha was escorted to the police station, I had an interesting conversation. Since I witnessed how Berisha used Ilir Meta in the period 92-97, I asked him how he could do this humiliation of himself.

- It was put to the test by Sigurimi, - he told me. You know he has files. (And he made this a fait accompli) They have suspected that we have used him and are putting him to the test, so that they can forgive him or not. He is a prisoner of Pobrat. He has the file.

It was a dialogue that I didn't really believe because of the stereotype he used of all his enemies who were either security associates or morally challenged. 

But in fact, Berisha really believed that the State Security had put him to the test against him. And he argued with the Bezhani Commission that he had hidden the file from him, since he knew that Mezini himself had intervened in the Commission.

The Bezhani Commission renewed his certificate cleanly, and Ilir Meta rewarded him by keeping his son close for the rest of his life. He was also close to every SHIK chairman who was appointed until he returned to power with Edi Rama in 2013.

When the new file law was made, when Erion Veliaj was minister, Meta accepted it on the condition that he amend one of its points, requesting that who has received testimony from the Mezini-Bezhani Commission no longer be verified. He made an amendment only for himself.

Today it is clear why he did it. This is the reason why the Authority has asked the Assembly to repeal this amendment and pave the way for filling Ilir Meta's Card as an Insurance associate.

Those who wonder how this man hid for 30 years call the ability of a high official to hide a crime a value, while the ability of an institution to discover this concealment of a crime is called a crime. It is intolerable to consider the merit of concealing a crime and using this concealment for political career and on the other hand to relativize the value of the discovery of this crime by trying to invalidate it.

The situation becomes even more banal when, in order to wash away Ilir Meta, the "crimes" of Edi Rama count the accusations of "corruption or national treason". 

This is even more despicable, as they seek to ignore the moral force of a crime. If this is the case, let's forget Enver Hoxha's crimes, balancing them with social benefits, since he has also built hydropower plants, a good education system, hospitals, farms, factories, and we have no reason to accuse him. he shot some 6 thousand people, imprisoned and interned another 300 thousand. If Freedom is an economic issue, and a welfare issue, then we don't have to talk about principles and human ideals for freedom, but we talk about skilled traders who give us more flour, meat and wine and brandy. That's how it is when a party of spoils turns it into a Party of Freedom.

Fascism has been down for 75 years and the world still arrests hidden Nazis and no one says why they arrested them so late, much less questions them. The former President of Austria Kurt Waldheim hid his Nazi biography for 50 years and managed to become the Secretary General of the UN, but no one relativized the truth when it was proven.

On the other hand, Ilir Meta has sworn three times on the Constitution, once as Prime Minister, once as Speaker of the Assembly and once as President, lying to Albanians. Think if the President of Germany had done this what public opinion would have done to him today. But here they say: It is not in the oath formula that you do not have to be insurance associates. 

The oath is a moral act that you are honest and do not hide anything from your people. He hid it three times and now hides behind the acronyms of his classmates, those who 30 years ago stood in front of him, and hid the surveillance devices on his body.

Therefore, it is better that if they want to protect Ilir Meta, they do like Sali Berisha, who cuts him short and says that this is a forgery of Edi Rama and ends the job. It is a simpler way, because it does not enter the spiral of discovering the truth, which I know he has used for 30 years on his own account. He's just upset now that a blackmail mechanism on Ilir Meta has been taken out of his hands. He really has a problem, since knowing Ilir Meta's bitter truth, he has ruled and abused Ilir Meta. He has reason to despair. And these other desperate people, who want to fill our minds, that with a security spy and a party secretary, they will take power in the name of anti-communism, are more like "agents" of Edi Rama, to reign in power, than opposition missionaries.
