SPAK ended a "mandate" of the first president without anything (more) to note. Or, we should anticipate, that we all had other expectations, which were not realized. However, we should be inclined to believe that the SAPK is still the only hope to bring order to our jungle of corrupt governance and politics and related metastases of organized crime.

In the conditions where we seem impossible to vote for a selection and renewal of the political class and, when we have remained hostage to an officially corrupt and incriminated caste, the eyes were directed to the enchanting SPAK, to escape from this caste.

When you hope a lot, you are disappointed quickly and a lot. But now the disappointment seems to be even greater. The American ambassador caused a lot of surprise when two days ago she issued a strong warning: "The process of selecting the SPAK chairman must be free of manipulation by those who seek to block or influence justice, by those who prefer the old ways and for consequently, they oppose the reform in justice. Such tactics belong to a past that has harmed many people. SPAK - as a justice reform - should be the future of Albania" - she said.

The question is: Who is manipulating, or can manipulate, the process of electing the new president of SPAK?

There are 3 candidates. The chairman is elected by the 11 members of the KLP. Whoever gets at least 6 votes becomes the president. All three of them are SPAK prosecutors, have passed the necessary filters, are qualified and capable. But how will the KLP members decide who is the best? SPAK does not need to have the one with the highest school average at the top. But the one who is bravest, most courageous, most idealistic and not part or product of corrupt political clans. However, the assessment will be subjective and will be decided by Lobbying. Who can lobby? Government; The opposition; Business; crIme

The last two are excluded, since there is no "pressure, blackmail, purchase, etc., etc." in Ambassador Kim's statement. So it's politics. The opposition seems to be out of this lobbying, as the KLP is entirely a product of the majority, as the opposition had abandoned the process at that time.

Can we say that Americans are alarmed that SPAK will be controlled by the government, or because KLP will not vote for the person they prefer? Americans seem to have preferences for Altin Duman. KLP rejected this candidacy in the first elections, when Arben Kraja won. But what is happening now?

Apparently, the US embassy has information that they are lobbying to seat another person in that chair, preferred by the majority, so the alarm was issued for "manipulation of the process by those who want to influence justice".

SPAK nuk është thjeshtë një organ drejtësie. Ai është instituconi që ka në dorë të mbjellë shpresën tek shqiptarët, pasi mungesa e drejtësisë për ata që e kanë shpërdoruar dhe e shpërdorojnë pushtetin për tri dekada me radhë, është një nga arsyet kryersore e demoralizimit të madh popullor dhe largimit masiv të njerëzve.

Therefore SPAK should not fall into the hands of those for whom it was created. Therefore, if there is one task that the Americans and their allies must do today, it is to protect the SPAK by any means and form.
