A serious incident shook Tirana this morning, where a 68-year-old man stabbed his 58-year-old wife to death and fled.

Police announce that they have arrested Hysni Patushi, 68 years old, in the Kamza area.

"He killed his wife with a cutting tool, the 68-year-old man is in custody. Following the preliminary information provided a little while ago, we would like to inform you that citizen HP, 68 years old, suspected of having struck his wife, citizen LP, 58 years old, with a cutting tool, who as a result lost her life, has been located and placed in custody by the Police services. The investigative group continues to work to fully document the circumstances of the case," the police announced.

According to reports, the incident took place in the couple's apartment, while at the time of the crime, there were also two minors in the house, the couple's grandchildren, as well as their son-in-law, who lived in his father-in-law's apartment.

It is learned that the stabbing was fatal for 58-year-old Lumturie Patushi, who has passed away.

According to preliminary information, the couple had had problems before. The two minors and the groom have been questioned by the investigation team, in an attempt to clarify the full circumstances of the incident.
