Another perpetrator has been identified as being involved in the murder of former crime officer Roland Rexhepi in 2009. The police announced that they wanted GB, a resident of Elbasan, while the court has assigned him the security measure of 'arrest in prison' ' for the criminal offense "Premeditated murder", carried out in collaboration and "Illegal possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition".

In July 2009, former anti-drug agent Roland Rexhepi, known by the nickname 'Doda', was killed. So far, the police have arrested Marjus Tafa, Armando Llakaj, both sentenced to 24 and 23 years in prison, Florind Shaban, extradited at the beginning of January 2022 from Germany, as well as Donald Hoxha, who was extradited from England two months ago. It is suspected that they executed the former crime officer in cooperation.

"Investigative work continues intensively under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office for the clarification and legal documentation of old criminal events, as well as for the identification and capture of the persons involved in them.

As a result of the investigations, another perpetrator implicated in a murder that occurred in 2009 was identified.

In cooperation with Interpol Tirana and partners, intensive work continues to locate and capture him.

For this event, 4 citizens were arrested, one of whom was extradited from England, 2 months ago.

Extradited from England located thanks to the information available to DVP Elbasan and the Criminal Police Department, as well as the timely exchange of information with the English law enforcement authorities.

The Sector for the Investigation of Serious Crimes in the DVP Elbasan under the direction of the Prosecution of the General Jurisdiction Elbasan as a result of intensive proactive investigations to unravel the criminal events that happened before, as well as the identification of the citizens involved in them, identified and declared wanted GB citizen, 50 years old, resident in Elbasan.

The Court of the Elbasan Judicial District has assigned to this citizen the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offense "Murder with premeditation", carried out in cooperation and "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition".

The GB citizen, it is suspected that in cooperation with the citizens A. Ll., MT, F. Sh. (arrested) and DH, (extradited from England 2 months ago), killed the citizen RR, in 2009, in Elbasan.

The investigative structures of DVP Elbasan, in cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office, are intensively continuing the work to secure evidence in order to clarify and legally document the criminal events that happened before.

We recall that in 2009, Roland Rexhepi, known as "Doda", a former anti-drug agent, who was known as the right-hand man of ex-commissioner Koseni, was executed in Elbasan. He was executed with a firearm in front of his house. 2 years later, the brother of 'Doda' Ilir Rexhepi, a well-known businessman in the city of Elbasan, was killed.  

This murder is one of the sensational events that started the terrible saga of murders in Elbasan in the last 2 decades. For the murder of Roland Rexhepi, Marjus Tafa and Armando Llakaj were convicted, imprisoned respectively with 23 and 24 years of imprisonment.
