The Minister of Interior, Besfort Lamallari, says that technology remains the State Police's most powerful ally in guaranteeing order and road safety.

According to Lamallari, authorities are increasingly relying on advanced electronic devices to keep all the country's roads under surveillance.

New generation radars, surveillance drones, and intelligent vehicles are serving as an efficient mechanism for real-time identification of speeding and other violations that compromise the safety of travelers.

Also, the head of the Ministry of Interior outlined that the most important strategic step in this direction will be the full implementation of digital technological infrastructure in major cities.

"With the implementation of the #SmartCity project, we will make an epochal leap for road and public safety as a whole in Albania," said Minister Lamallari, underlining that digitalization will increase monitoring not only on roads, but on the entire public territory.
