A strong denunciation has reached the Vox News editorial office from the town of Vora, from dozens of residents of the area near Marikaj, who have been blocked by the Farruku family, who have blocked their way to their property and no institution has taken action, including the State Police.

The situation has worsened in recent days, with a family member, M. Farruku, "patrolling" the entire area with a gun, while the local police only do their best, siding with the occupiers, who also have criminal records. In this case, the blue uniforms defend the "strongest", reducing the incident in question to self-justification, while they do not take action even when they see a gun.

According to reports in Vox News, residents of the entire area have filed dozens of reports at the Vora Police Station, but just as many times the reports have been thrown in the trash, while today (August 11, 2026), after the notification of the General Director of the State Police, Skënder Hitaj, the person M. Farruku has been escorted.

"The Farruku family occupies the road of an entire neighborhood with false documents and does not break it for the state. The latter remain silent and do not intervene in its opening. Citizens complain and file reports with the police, at police station no. 7 in Vora, but the latter does not take measures to prevent the situation," is one of the complaints.

Others claim that the person who has threatened the residents of the area is M. Farruku, an armed man who moves around the streets and does not allow people to go out because he threatens to kill them. "After many phone calls and reports, it took the intervention of Mr. Hita to take this matter seriously," the residents claim.

Vox News has learned that the conflict is over an existing road near the main Marikaj - Vorë axis, where residents have properties and are no longer able to access. Our editorial team has secured some old photos, more precisely maps of the entire area, before this family settled the squatters and closed it.

These maps clearly show that this is a state road, before this family settled and built warehouses and buildings. "They deal with iron works and hotels and guesthouses. The area is located on the secondary road Vorë - Marikaj. There are over 20 family members and landowners there. They have made false deeds and ownership certificates. It was made by an AC, a former director of the Mortgage in Kamëz and Vorë," the residents claim.

Meanwhile, the existing road is already planted with olive trees, while at its entrance it is written "private property, do not cross."
