New details have emerged from the serious incident that occurred yesterday in Durrës, where a father injured his daughter with a knife.

A relative of the Ndoji family said that "this person has always been a problematic type, consuming alcohol and practicing domestic violence."

"He divorced his wife because of these problems and fled abroad, to Italy, where he served two years in prison for drug trafficking. He had recently been released from prison and wanted to get back together with his ex-wife, but his daughter didn't want to because she knew what kind of person he was. That's why he injured her," the family relative told A2cnn.

Durrës police arrested 57-year-old Mikel Ndoji, who stabbed his daughter, Jessica Ndoji, 24, this morning. In addition to his daughter, he also injured two other people who tried to help the girl.

The other two injured, according to witnesses at the scene, are employees of a real estate agency who attempted to intervene when they saw the father stabbing his daughter.

According to police, the injured were taken to hospital for medical attention and fortunately are out of danger, although they received several stab wounds.
