Albanian and Kosovar football have been shocked by the news of the passing of footballer Fatjon Bunjaku.
The 22-year-old midfielder, who was part of AF Elbasani, lost his life after a serious car accident on the Pristina-Mitrovicë axis, leaving behind a promising career tragically interrupted at its peak.
Bunjaku joined Elbasan in the summer of 2025 and was considered one of the most promising signings for the yellow-blue team. Before arriving in Albania, he had built his career mainly in Kosovar football.
Over the past few years, the 22-year-old has worn the jerseys of KF Trepça, Liria, Gjilan and Malisheva, gaining experience at the highest levels of football in Kosovo.
In Albanian football, Bunjaku played a total of 31 matches and scored 3 goals, contributing to the elite championship.
The Kosovar talent was also part of the Kosovo youth national team. He recorded 3 appearances with the U19 national team and 4 appearances with the Kosovo U21.
