An 80-year-old man died today in Kavaja after he was hit by a vehicle while cycling.

The police informs that the 29-year-old driver of the vehicle has been escorted to the police station, while investigations into the case continue.

"Around 2:10 p.m., on the secondary road "Kavajë-Mali i Robit", the vehicle driven by citizen SK, 29 years old, collided with the bicycle driven by citizen YL, about 80 years old. The YL citizen lost his life in the collision, while the 29-year-old was escorted to the Police Station, for further procedural actions. The investigative group continues its work to determine the cause of this accident," the police announced.
