Doctor and pedagogue Sonela Xinxo has passed away prematurely, after a battle with a serious illness.

Xinxo dedicated himself to medicine and worked at PIH for the period 2003-2017, in the field of prevention and control of Non-Communicable Diseases. She was also the author of a series of studies, reports and modules in the field of health and health care service management.

ISHP has a reaction on the official Facebook page, conveying condolences to Xinxo's family. It is with deep pain that we announce the untimely death of one of the colleagues of the Institute of Public Health, Dr. Sonela Kavaja Xinxo.

Sonela worked at ISHP for the period 2003-2017, in the field of prevention and control of Non-Communicable Diseases, contributing to the drafting of the Heart Disease registry as well as many health policy documents.

Sonela will be missed not only by her family but also by all her friends and colleagues with whom she worked, as well as the students of the Faculty of Medicine to whom she devoted herself for several years. May her memory not be forgotten!
