Was sent to prison 8 days after giving birth / Diana Bahçja is released

Diana Bahçja, the expectant mother who was arrested by the police, has appeared before the Tirana court, separating her from her son. Meanwhile, the defense has requested the immediate release from prison because of the minor child who is only 20 days old.

This is after a fine of 2 million and 500 thousand old lek was imposed in 2020, converting it a week ago, i.e. after three years in prison, one month and 20 days.

"I was not aware of the fine. I have not met the first child because I am not allowed to. She is a 5-year-old girl," she said in court.
