Ervin Mata's father, Luan Mata, testified in the GJKKO trial against Plaurent Devishaj and Julian Meçaj , accused of the assassination of former prosecutor Arjan Ndoji, in which his driver Andi Maloku was killed.

A quantity of TNT exploded in the hotel he owned in 2020.

Luan Mata: In 2020 I operated a private business, I have Hotel Viktoria and Viktoria Construksion. I have not had any problems with people. In 2020 there was an incident, I was inside the hotel. The entire hotel is covered with cameras. I have two children. I have no idea who set it up for me.

Julian Pjetri, sentenced to 4 years and 4 months in prison for the assassination attempt on Arjan Ndoj, was also called to testify in the trial.

"I don't want to give explanations, I benefit from this right that the law gives me," he said.

Genti Nderjaku, also sentenced to 5.4 years in prison by the Criminal Court of Kosovo as part of the group that carried out the assassination, also testified as a witness.

"I don't want to answer, I want to take advantage of this right," declared Genti Nderjaku.

Ramazan Rraja, the nephew of former MP Rrahman Rraja, accused of being part of Plaurent Dervishaj's group and sentenced to 6 years in prison by the Criminal Court, also appeared in the trial.

"I want to testify, but my lawyer is not here today. I will appear with a lawyer next time," said Ramazan Rraja.

While Amar Shkëmbi, recently extradited from Dubai, also stated that "I want to take advantage of the right not to be questioned."
