Ecuadorian police announced that they have dismantled a drug trafficking network from this country that was smuggling narcotics to Europe and Africa.
According to Ecuadorian media, the gang has trafficked drugs worth over $360 million.
11 people were arrested in Ecuador, while another 11 were arrested in Spain.
Among those arrested in Spain are 7 Albanians, Ecuadorian media report.
The criminal group used three export companies to send the drugs to Spain, Belgium, Libya and the Netherlands .
Firearms, phones and documents were also seized during the operation.
At the head of this criminal organization was citizen Isaac Mauricio Chica Mora, who was arrested in Ecuador.
The investigation into the crackdown on this criminal group lasted 3 years.
