An arsenal of weapons has been found in Nikël, Fushë-Krujë. The arsenal was found during searches for the November 11th assassination attempt near Rinas Airport, where Gilmando Dani was killed and Muçi Shaljani alias Sheqeri was seriously injured. The owner has been declared wanted and is suspected of being the person who provided the weapons to the assassins.

Various ammunition such as automatic weapons, machine guns, grenades, cartridges of various calibers, fuses, grenades, as well as explosives connected to mobile phones for remote explosions were found.

The assassination took place after Gilmando Dani and his friend, Muçi Shaljani, an agent of the Police Supervision Agency, had just returned from Barcelona. The perpetrators, in a Toyota vehicle, waited for them at the Rinas roundabout for at least 10 minutes. As soon as the white Mercedes, in which Dani and Shaljani were, opened fire in their direction. The perpetrators' car was stolen in Greece on October 22, 2023, while the Greek license plates were stolen a year later, in 2024.

There were 4 people in the Toyota. Three of them got out of the car and fired a volley of shots at the car where Dani was, and it is believed that they were people trained to shoot. The fourth at the wheel did not get out of the car for a moment, until they drove away towards Fushë-Krujë and burned the car in the village of Halil.

Gilmando Dani, who was released in 2024, is considered one of the trusted men of Emiljano Shullazi, a well-known criminal figure in prison, accused of a number of criminal offenses. So far, the murder, although it has all the elements of a structured criminal group, is being investigated by the Tirana Prosecutor's Office, and a request has not yet been made to SPAK to take charge of it.
