Three young people from Fier have lost their lives and two others have been injured in a serious road accident in Glyfada, Athens, in the early hours of Thursday morning.

According to Greek media, the accident occurred at around 02:00, when the car in which the five young people were traveling went off the road and crashed into the perimeter wall of a hotel, at the intersection of Poseidonos Boulevard and Kalypsous Street.

Three young men lost their lives, while the two survivors, both 18 years old, were transported to the hospital. One of them is out of danger.

According to Greek television MEGA, the young men are suspected of speeding with another vehicle. The young men are also suspected of recording a video for TikTok at the time of the accident, and it is not ruled out that they may have filmed the moment of the tragic accident.

However, Greek media say that police have not yet found evidence confirming the involvement of a second vehicle.

Greek police are reviewing security camera footage and collecting evidence to shed light on the circumstances of the accident.
