New details from the serious incident in Maliq , where a mother and son lost their lives as a result of a fire that engulfed their apartment, while the 6-year-old girl was taken to Korça hospital in serious condition.

The fire was caused by the wood stove that the family was using for heating.

The fire broke out around 1:30 p.m. in a family home, where a 40-year-old mother and her two children were staying.

As a result of the flames and dense smoke, mother Merjeme Azisllari, and her son, Luka Azisllari, 14 years old, lost their lives from asphyxiation.

Immediately after the announcement, firefighters and ambulances arrived at the scene, urgently transporting the two children to the Korça Regional Hospital.

Unfortunately, the 14-year-old did not survive his injuries, while the other child, a 6-year-old, is in critical condition.
