Tragedy in the Albanian family in the USA, the woman crashes to death near the

A woman of Albanian origin died in Bronx, New York after being hit by a car. The serious accident happened very close to the house of 59-year-old Paulina Ndrecaj, who had gone out to buy pizza. She was hit by a car while walking on the sidewalk on Friday. The vehicle, which rode on the pavement, crashed the woman towards a metal fence and as a result the Albanian was cut by an iron rod. Ndrecaj was taken to the hospital, but died while undergoing surgery.

The sad news has been confirmed by her 32-year-old daughter, who told the American media that her mother did not deserve this death.

"She was a good and sweet woman. He didn't deserve this. It was four steps away from home," said Diana. Paulina was the mother of three children and had a grandson. Diana further stated that her father was at home when he heard the accident and ran to the scene after hearing a loud noise. Fran Ndrecaj, 71 years old, said that he understood from the beginning that his wife, to whom he had been married for 40 years, would not be able to make it.

"They had fainted. He had lost a lot of blood, blood coming out of his mouth and nose", Ndrecaj confessed.

The husband revealed that his late wife had recently celebrated her birthday.

"For me he was a wonderful person. He raised my children. It was perfect. The children were happy with their lives, she was happy too," the 71-year-old confessed.

The first to go to the scene was 32-year-old Sall Arobye, an Uber driver, who lived across the street. He helped Paulina away from the fence and assured her that she would be fine.

"He said to me: Do you think I will succeed?". I told him, "of course you can make it, stay strong", he said, adding that the injured woman thanked him while she was in that state.

"It's terrible. I feel like I lied to him. She couldn't make it. I feel sad", he said.

Arobye, was guided by a 35-year-old nurse who happened to pass by the scene when Ndrecaj was hit.

"She had a big wound on her left elbow and blood was coming out of her stomach. I knew he was bleeding internally, so I thought we shouldn't move him", said the nurse.

A 34-year-old neighbor named Vanessa Gonzalez has known Paulina since she was born. She expressed her sadness to the New York Post and said that Paulina was a person with a special heart.

"After my dad died, she was a great friend to my mom," Gonzalez said.

Friends and relatives of the victim lit candles and laid flowers at the site of the incident on Saturday.

Diana Ndrecaj blamed a newly installed bicycle lane outside the building. According to her, the new road configuration confuses drivers.

"Do you see? Looks like they're double parked, doesn't it? It confuses people. There has never been an accident here. He probably jumped the curb,” she said.

The driver of the car that caused the crash said he drove onto the sidewalk after swerving to avoid hitting a stopped van at the intersection of Bronxdale and Cruger streets. He was taken to the police and authorities said the crash appears to have been accidental. The vehicle in question had 168 violations, including 20 speeding violations in school zones
