16 Serbs have been arrested in the territory of the Republic of Kosovo. Authorities have described their presence as an "attempt at destabilization."

In Gjakova on Saturday, two Serbs from Mitrovica and two others from Serbia were arrested. One from Novi Sad and the other from Belgrade.

Insajderi's sources indicate that Branko Rakić and Milovan Stević, both Serbs residing in Mitrovica, were arrested in Gjakova, Insajderi reports.

Meanwhile, the other two Serbs residing in Serbia are: Nemanja Vamović and Pavle Kragović.

Another 12 people were arrested today in Prizren. The news was announced by the acting Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla.

"In a joint operation carried out by our security agencies on 05.04.2025 and 06.04.2025, a total of 16 people were detained, divided into four vehicles with license plates from Kragujevac, Serbia. The structure of the detainees was combined, with four of them turning out to be active officers of the Serbian security services.

"According to initial data, it is suspected that these groups aimed to collect information on potential targets, as evidence of connections with Serbian military intelligence structures as well as members of the Banjska terrorist group has been found," Sveçla said, among other things.

Sveçla says that based on preliminary investigations, a lieutenant has close family ties to the Banska Bystrica terrorist group member, Nemanja Radivojević, nicknamed “Gandhi.” According to the acting minister, “Gandhi” is connected to Vladimir Radivojević, the main suspect in the murder of Sergeant Afrim Bunjaku.

Police announced during the day that two knives and an axe were found and seized in the car of four Serbian pilgrims in Gjakova.
