Intense rainfall in 6 counties on Sunday, snow expected. Appeal to citizens

The National Civil Protection Agency announces that based on reports from IGJEO and the Military Meteorological Service (SHMU), on Sunday, January 12, intense rainfall is expected mainly in 6 regions: Vlorë, Gjirokastër, Dibër, Durrës, Tirana and Korçë.

Meanwhile, snowfall is expected in mountainous areas above 300 meters.

"The precipitation may be accompanied by storms and low temperatures, creating the possibility of frost and difficulties in transportation," the AKMC statement said.

The National Civil Protection Agency urges local and central structures to be prepared for any situation and take measures to manage rainfall.

Meanwhile, citizens are recommended to exercise increased caution when moving and follow official announcements.

We remind you that due to the worsening weather, ferry sailings on the Durrës-Bari lines and vice versa were also suspended on Sunday.
