Blendi Fevziu

Blendi Fevziu has spoken about the unbridled luxury of Albanian politicians, which they are not afraid to show to the public, through clothing and vehicles with staggering values.

Invited to the show "The Unexposed", Fevziu recounted a meeting with a senior politician, who was dressed in very expensive clothes, which in total amounted to 40,000 euros. The journalist stated that he often feels "poor" in front of politicians, even though he has a high salary.

Excerpts from the conversation:

Ylli Rakipi:  Don't you think that Albanian politicians have become the richest people in the country?

Blendi Fevziu:  It impresses me, I have often thought about it. The way some politicians spend is surprising. It is enough to go to the door of the parliament, to see the cars in which the politicians come, the bags they carry, the watches they wear. I am one of the highest paid people in Albania. In addition to the salary, I had income from not small properties. I often find myself poor in front of politics. I saw an important politician one day, he called me to coffee. There was a 4 thousand euro jacket. Shoes that cost about 6,000 euros. I saw a tie for 250 euros and a watch for around 15 thousand euros, I recognized these.

Ylli Rakipi : So a case inserted within 40 thousand euros...

Blendi Fevziu:  That man had more than 40 thousand euros in his body. A man who is paid 1 million and 200 thousand lek (old) per month, how can he achieve this well-being?
One of the things I calculated when I was asked to become a minister, the salary I received as a journalist was five times more than the minister's salary... Politics has its benefits. In a restaurant they enter, someone offers them something.. This is the bonus they get for engaging in politics. But they cannot be people who use the profession only to earn.
There are also politicians who do not have a problem with the lek. Lover See for example.
