The Albanian Parliament is holding its next plenary session today, while a protest has been announced outside the building by citizens who have been holding daily rallies against the government for about 50 days.

The session is expected to begin at 12:00 with the approval of the minutes of the July 16 meeting and relevant announcements.

The deputies will then review the report of the National Council for European Integration for 2025, the draft law "On European Cooperation Societies (ECS)", as well as a series of draft resolutions for the evaluation of the activity of justice institutions and independent bodies.

The agenda includes reports on the Ombudsman, the High Judicial Council (HJC), the High Prosecutorial Council (HPC), the High State Audit Office (HSA), the General Prosecutor's Office, the Special Structure against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK), as well as the High Inspector of Justice (ILD).

Meanwhile, the organizers of the protests have called on citizens to gather in front of the Parliament at the same time as the plenary session, stating that they intend to convey their message directly to the deputies.

According to activists, the protest in front of Parliament is a continuation of the civic resistance that has been taking place every evening in Tirana for seven weeks. They say they do not feel represented by the institutions and are demanding change.

"We will show the Assembly that we do not feel represented and that citizens demand change," said one of the activists during last night's protest.

Organizers have announced that the protests will continue in the coming days, while they have warned of an even greater mobilization on July 23, the day when the last plenary session before the summer break of the Parliament will take place. According to them, special preparations are being made for that date with the aim of achieving the largest possible participation.
