Prime Minister Rama participates in the tributes at the "Petro Marko" theater

Prime Minister Edi Rama has participated in the tributes held for journalist Enrik Mehmeti, which are being held at the "Petro Marko" theater in Vlora.

Journalist Enrik Mehmeti lost his life on Saturday afternoon, at the age of 40, after a motorcycle accident in the Porto Nova beach area, in Zvërnec.

Family, friends, colleagues and representatives of institutions gathered to bid farewell to the renowned journalist, who for years has reported on events and issues from the Vlora region.

Tributes are being held at the "Petro Marko" theater, while the final farewell ceremony is scheduled to be held at 2:00 PM.

Following the news of Mehmeti's passing, condolences have also come from other political figures, including the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, and the Secretary General of the Freedom Party, Tedi Blushi.

The loss of the 40-year-old journalist has brought pain to the media community and the citizens of Vlora, where he was a well-known figure for his reporting over the years.
