Lost in the Karaburun area, 5 German tourists rescued

Five German tourists lost their way yesterday afternoon in the Karaburun area, on difficult and steep terrain.

After the notification received at around 18:00, the Delta Unit immediately headed towards a place called Maja e Qorres to locate and rescue them.

Rescuers managed to find all five tourists. Four of them are in good health, while one is unable to walk on his own due to his physical condition.

Delta Unit officers escorted the group to a safe area, while the injured tourist was transported on a stretcher by emergency vehicles, due to the extremely difficult terrain.

The distance and terrain conditions made it difficult to fully evacuate the tourists.
