Two Albanian citizens have been imprisoned by a court in Belgium, after the breakdown of the "Sky ECC" application that revealed their double life and involvement in cocaine trafficking.
It is about the Albanians Paulo D. and Flavio B., they were arrested on October 26, 2021 as the police raided a drug laboratory on Huysmanslaan in Ixelles.
The authorities seized at that time 177 kilograms of cocaine, chemical products for mixing cocaine and two firearms.
According to local media, the public prosecutor requested 7 years in prison for Flavio B. and 6 years for Paulo D.
But federal judge Julien Moinil handed down a 9-year prison sentence against the brother of one of the ringleaders, Eridan Munez Guerrero, who bears the last name of the Colombian woman.
On Monday, the Albanian Sokol C was sentenced to 7 years in prison. He worked as a truck driver in Albania, but with the monthly salary of 800 euros he was able to buy a "Range Rover", a "Ford Mustang", a "Mercedes", a boat and several apartments", according to the announcement of the authorities.
"At the same time, his brother Eridan was sending him considerable sums of money from Belgium. During the search at his house in Albania, we found some documents that link him to the vehicles used in Belgium by the criminal organization", said the prosecutors.
In the end, a federal judge ordered a 13-year prison sentence against Maringlen C., who was connected to various drug labs.
"His wife was arrested at the drug lab in Graystraat, the lab where this case started," the magistrate said. "His DNA was found in a laboratory in Anderlecht. He was in close contact with Eridan Munez Guerrero, even after his arrest, and he is known by Albelhak H. as one of the people who kidnapped him," the magistrate asserted.
