The body of former President Bujar Nishani who passed away in Germany will be brought to Tirana on Wednesday.

This is due to some delays as a result of the procedures that the German hospital is following, where the former president was hospitalized.

It was originally planned for the body of the former president to return to Albania on Tuesday, but due to the extension of legal proceedings in Germany, it is learned that it will arrive in our country only on Wednesday.

It is therefore learned that the official ceremony may take place on Thursday.

However the official date of the ceremony will be confirmed only after the hospital in Berlin has closed the formal legal procedures.

Relatives have requested to have two days available for the homage, one day to receive their friends and one day to perform the official ceremony.

The ceremony will be organized by the Presidency in cooperation with state protocol and details have not yet been made public.
