The Special Court has opened the process against 3 defendants, Erjon Alibej, Xhuljano Hoxha and the penitent Euglen Halili for the murder of Emiliano Ramazan and Regis Runaj, murders that took place in July 2020.

The hearing, which lasted approximately two hours, was accompanied by debates between the prosecutor and the defense lawyers, as the latter claimed that the penitents had given contradictory statements.

For the murder of Emiliano Ramazan, the prosecution accuses Erjon Alibej, who had the role of organizer and orderer of the crime. In the role of informant was the collaborator of justice Euglen Halili. He testified that for every data he gave to Xhuljano Hoxha about the location of Ramadan, he was paid from 20 to 30 thousand ALL.

The prosecutor of the case, Behar Dibra, has requested that the next hearing on June 6 be faced by the other two penitents, Nuredin Dumanin and Henrik Hoxha, whose statements led to 32 arrest warrants of the "Golden Bullet" operation.

Alibej himself claims that he has nothing to do with any of the episodes for which he is accused, while before the court the lawyers said that Eugen Halili was raped in the police premises to make such statements that implicate Alibej.

The latter is suspected of taking revenge for the murder of his brother and uncle, in an assassination attempt in which a Turkish citizen was also killed.
