Lear Kurti's friend: The family was not allowed to see the body either at
Andi Llabuti

Andi Llabuti, journalist and friend of the late Lear Kurti, who lost his life after being escorted by the police, says that he found out the news on Thursday morning when a mutual friend called him and told him that the police had caught "Lari" as they called him and beat him to death.

In a confession on MCN TV, Llabuti says that because he was also sleepy, he could not accept the death of his friend.

"From the police or whoever directs these, what is not expected, given that it is the same situation as with Klodian Rasha, only that it is being repeated after two years. The first information, which is closer to the truth, was made today the way that cars are stopped for no reason simply because it's up to the police, they stopped him, he didn't accept, as today's people do, 'don't bother us today'.

They were ambushed somewhere in the "Don Bosco" area, alerting other patrols. In the car, it is said that he was accompanied by another friend, after he was caught by the police, they put him in the van and they used intense violence, causing his death. When he went to the Trauma Hospital, he went without any signs of life. When the family says the boy was like a lion and didn't suffer from any disease, just where does logic lead.

The first claim was that he suffered from epilepsy, then it changed. It was said that he swallowed a bag of cocaine, today there were two bags, they were changed. Every day a new alibi is emerging. They said they swallowed one bag, they don't stand by what they say, then we get two bags. I don't know where they want to go out.

If he was involved in narcotics and was not caught by the police, shame on the police for not catching him. If he was taken and served the sentence, he has served it and that's it. If he had a past for narcotics, it's not up to him to stop him. We are not finding out how many bags he had and how much he swallowed, he could have thrown it out because he swallowed it. There have been cases before where they swallowed them and they did not cause death, expertise has shown that there are no consequences, " he says.

Llabuti further added that he also went to the morgue to report on the portal where he works and that no one was allowed to enter, not even his father.

"I, who was a witness for my work, saw his father wandering outside the railings and they didn't give him any information. He was in a very serious condition. I didn't know how to go as a friend or a journalist. About 30 minutes passed and he took a call and left. After 15 minutes I met him at the funeral home.

I thashë ‘jam çun Parku’, erdha vetëm të them ngushëllime.

When asked who did not allow them to look at the dead body, he said that he does not know how to give an answer, but that they were probably scared that they could see an open and stitched corpse.

"But I am convinced that the box there was vacuumed, sealed well and they told you not to open it. How they said it is their art.

I call on the family members to follow the legal path to once again have their son's expertise. If they persevere, maybe even higher from here, I believe they will find the truth," he says.
