"Pull your teeth", Albanians receive "lectures" on TikTok

The British media have published a video, where four illegal Albanian immigrants, staying in a camp, weave plans in order to avoid leaving Great Britain.

They chat with their compatriots on TikTok in order to get information about what could be the scenarios that avoid their deportation.

The four migrants have been advised to pull their teeth to avoid deportation, says The Telegraph, which captured the video of the Albanians talking on Tiktok.

They discussed in a live video on Tiktok how they could avoid deportation by escaping from the Colnbrook Immigration Removal Center near Heathrow, where they were held before being transferred to Albania.

The Albanians talk to another of their compatriots, who claims to have managed to escape from the safe removal center in 2018.

He is heard advising them to consider pulling their teeth so that they can be transferred to a hospital, where it would be easier to escape.

"As young lads, you have paid a lot of money to enter Britain and it is not good at all to be sent to Albania. Let me show you another trick. Take out one of your teeth, so they'll send you to the hospital.”

There is no evidence that any of the tactics would work, although the four Albanians appear to have smuggled a smartphone into the mall. They allegedly paid £500 to bring the phone to the centre, British media say.

There is no public record of an Albanian escaping from Colnbrook in 2018, although eight Albanians were among 13 people who escaped after a riot at Yarl's Wood removal center in Bedfordshire in 2023.

TikTok said any promotion of criminal activities was prohibited under its community guidelines.

"We rely on the relevant authorities to identify and notify us of accounts that are used by prisons or detention centers in violation of relevant laws. When notified, we investigate and will take appropriate action if we have sufficient information that indicates a violation of local laws," the announcement reads.

Colnbrook is one of seven immigration removal centers operated by the Home Office from which illegal immigrants and foreign criminals are deported.

Nearly 3,000 Albanians were deported to their country in the year to March under a fast-track return deal with the Balkan state.

An estimated 12,000 Albanians arrived in the UK on dinghies across the Channel in 2022 before the UK and Albanian governments negotiated a crackdown to stem the rise in illegal arrivals.
