The Special Court has put former Chief Police Chief Henerigert Mitrin in jail.

Mitri was self-merged a few days ago in tirana police premises.

Before the court, neither Mitri nor his lawyer gave clarifications, as they asked to be acquainted with the file and then addressed the Appeal.

Mitri's activity was discovered by unravelling the encrypted messages of the "SKY ECC" application, which resulted in him serving incriminated businessman Dove Hoxha.

Mitri had in some cases served as a shield for the illegal casino that Hoxha operated in the city of Lezha.

Mitri is also suspected that together with Klodian Shahin, the director of anti-trade in Lezha, did their best to protect and hide the cannabis parcels planted in the area.
