It is learned that the 20-year-old youth with the initials HM and the 18-year-old with the initials JM, residents of Tirana, in collaboration with each other, created profiles through virtual applications.

Then, through communications with different people, mostly of the female gender, they provided intimate photo and video materials, and for the non-publication of these materials, they demanded different amounts of money.

Also, from the investigative actions carried out, 2 cases of this criminal activity were legally documented, from which the two brothers benefited from a sum of money from a 14-year-old girl.

The police operation coded "Cybersnare" is being finalized by the Cybercrimes Investigation Sector, in cooperation with the Special Operations Section at DVP Tirana, followed by special investigation methods.

2 brothers were arrested who blackmailed different citizens, for giving money, for not publishing their personal videos and photos on social networks.

2 cases of this criminal activity are documented with legal evidence, sums of money and 2 mobile phones are seized.

The Services of the Sector for the Investigation of Cybercrimes, in cooperation with the Special Operations Section at the DVP Tirana, following the work to combat cybercrimes, have organized and finalized the coded police operation "Cybersnare", followed by special investigation methods. During the operation, citizens HM, 20 years old, and JM, 18 years old (brothers), residents of Tirana, were arrested.

Thanks to the professional investigative actions by the specialists of the Cybercrime Investigation Sector, carried out during the development of this operation, the complete legal documentation of the criminal activity of the two brothers, who allegedly created profiles in applications in collaboration with each other, was made. virtual, and after communicating with different people, mostly of the female gender, they provided intimate photo and video materials, and for the non-publication of these materials, they demanded different amounts of money.

Also, from the investigative actions carried out, 2 cases of this criminal activity were legally documented, from which the two brothers benefited from a sum of money from a 14-year-old girl. A sum of money and 2 mobile phones were seized as material evidence.

The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
