Seizure of private 'Medicare' HOSPITAL, medical equipment passes to

Medical equipment seized at the private International Medicare hospital, under investigation by the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for tax evasion, will be put into use by the QSUT and regional public hospitals.

After approval by the prosecutor of the case, Risena Xhaja, the Agency for the Administration of Sequestered and Confiscated Assets, makes these devices available to the Ministry of Health, with the aim of further distribution according to the needs of hospitals or health centers.

The private hospital, whose medical equipment is being confiscated, is being investigated by the Triana Prosecutor's Office after it was discovered that it performed surgeries without tax invoices, used expired medications, employed unlicensed foreign doctors, and had uninsured employees, causing financial damage of 400 thousand euros to the state.
