Saranda 'plunges' into darkness in the middle of the tourist season

The city of Saranda has been 'plunged' into darkness since 9:30 PM this evening.

Sources from the Electricity Distribution Operator (OSHEE) indicate that the cause of the power outage was a large load on the network, which led to the collapse of one of the three line feeders.

The electricity shortage comes at the height of the tourist season, at a time when Saranda is overcrowded with tourists.
