14 active outbreaks in the country, difficult situation in Kruja and Lura
From Tirana to Dibër, 14 fires remain active in the country

During the last 24 hours, 31 fires have been reported in the country. According to the Ministry of Defense, 14 of them are active, two are under monitoring and two are under control.

In Abazë of Kruja, the fire continues to be active, favored by the wind, but does not pose a danger to homes. Operational forces are on the ground to extinguish the flames, supported by a helicopter.

Tirana still has two active fires. In the area above the Qafë-Molla tunnels, 30 forces and 2 helicopters of the Armed Forces have been deployed to extinguish the flames.

In the Priskë e Madhe–Gurrë–Farkë–Lundë area, although there is no danger to residential areas, 40 firefighters with 8 firefighting vehicles, 25 volunteers and 2 helicopters are operating on the ground.

The forests of Lura are still under fire, while the ground and air operation to isolate the fires has been ongoing for three days. The difficult terrain and the wind have caused the flames to spread over large areas of pine and spruce forest. Civil defense structures, Armed Forces personnel and 2 “Air Tractor” aircraft have been engaged in the operation to extinguish the flames.

The situation is worsening in Lugaxhi, Elbasan, as the fire has spread to the pine tree crowns. A new fire has also been identified in Shala, Cërriku. Field forces have been engaged to extinguish the flames in these two areas.

Due to the difficult terrain, which prevents access to the forest areas of Nëmërçka and Dhëmbel, these two hotbeds continue to be active in Përmet, but without posing a danger to inhabited areas.

A fire is also active in Dhivër, Saranda, while the one in Dhrovjan is under control.

Meanwhile, the fire outbreaks in Mallakastër, Patos, Drenie, Lofkënd and Ngraçije have been isolated and the situation is being monitored, while work continues in the Gjinoqara forestry economy. In Kryezi, Fushë-Arrëz, the outbreak is under control, while in Rrencë and Goraj-Budishtë, work continues for complete isolation.

In Mirdita, the intervention to isolate and control the fire in the village of Trojë continues.

309 Armed Forces personnel have been deployed on the ground, with 22 vehicles, 1 motor vehicle, 3 ambulances, 9 fire engines, 3 helicopters and 2 "Air Tractor" aircraft, who have been working since the early hours of the day to isolate and extinguish the fires and protect residential areas.
