Prime Minister Rama stopped in Vlora this Tuesday.
Rama's first visit to the coastal city was in Orikum, where the agreement for the production of warships was finalized at the Pashaliman base.
This is an agreement between the Albanian government and an Italian firm, which will produce military ships in Pashaliman.
According to information, the cooperation agreement is between the Albanian company KAYO sh.a. and the Italian shipbuilding giant Fincantieri, based on which Albania will produce vessels at the Pashalimani base, initially for the needs of the Armed Forces and then for export to international markets, positioning the country as a new manufacturing center in the region.
After the finalization of this agreement, the basis of Pashaliman is expected to change completely in September.
From a military base, a series of infrastructure investments will be made there, turning this base into a production site for warships for domestic and foreign use.
