Tragic/ Two 313th Pre-Detention Unit Officers Die Within a Few Hours

Two officers of the "313" detention center in Tirana have lost their lives within a few hours of each other. 

According to preliminary information, the first victim is Zog Muhametaj, 62 years old, who suffered a heart attack at around 9:00 PM while giving a briefing in the detention yard. Despite intervention, he was unable to survive.

After the incident, a team was called to the institution to review security cameras and investigate the circumstances.

At around 01:00 in the morning, Pëllumb Vrana, a detention camera technician, also suffered a heart attack. He was rushed to the hospital, but did not survive.

The full circumstances of the two events are expected to be clarified by the investigations, while so far it is suspected that both officers died as a result of cardiac problems.
