A citizen in Gjirokastra has called on MPs to stop the Mountains Package, which he described as a tool for the theft of property, pastures, water and land from villagers.

He spoke at the meeting organized for the new territorial reform, where he emphasized that the law in question will not bring anything good.

"I would like to speak a little differently, not too technically. The 2014 reform, whether we like it or not, has failed. We must use this new reform that will be implemented first and foremost to stop the bloodshed of the nation. I appeal to all the majority MPs, because these are the ones who will vote for this, these are the ones who have the votes.

They should do everything possible to stop the bloodshed through this reform, so that it does not continue because Albania is being abandoned. Why is it being abandoned? Because there are no services, there are no services. And one last call, overthrow the Mountains Package.

Through the Mountain Package, even those five villagers who are stuck up and down in the mountains, investors will go and take their water resources, their lands, pastures, forests, and where will those people go?
