The images from the pursuit of two Albanians, part of the drug trafficking in Peru, Franc Malo and Gentjan Meta, are published. In the 24/7 wiretapping carried out by Dirandro and in which the connections of Albanians with Peruvian businessmen are revealed regarding the drug distribution network.

It is about a European mafia that spread its illegal activity in some coastal cities of Peru. Dirandro's agents had information that two Albanian citizens had crossed the border from Ecuador to enter Peru illegally, members of the powerful Albanian mafia, and had arrived in Peruvian territory to send tons of cocaine.

Thanks to intensive monitoring, images of two Albanians, known as 'Barbas' and 'Pelado', were discovered. After being ordered to be followed at any place and at any time, Dirandro gave the green light to the operation. Recall that the pursuit of two drug traffickers from Albania has prevented the arrival at the destination of 2.2 tons of cocaine hidden in a consignment with final destination the Netherlands. Franko Malo and Gentjan Meta, who escaped, and their collaborator, Ismael Jiménez, have already been declared wanted.

HOW THE TWO ALBANIANS ENTERED PERU

Albanians entered Peru illegally, through Huaquillas, on the border with Ecuador, in November 2021. During the control of Franco and Gentjan, the anti-narcotics intelligence revealed that they had data on drug trafficking in Albania.

In this way, the police decided to pursue them, observing the movements that followed with the finalized operation in Trujillo and Callao.

The two Albanians Franko and Gentjan had arrived in the country to settle in Trujillo and to export 2.2 tons of liquid cocaine camouflaged in a consignment of canned asparagus, which was intended to be sent in a transport container to Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

The presence of Albanian drug traffickers in Ecuador and Colombia has become stronger in the last decade. These organizations take advantage of the export of fruits and other agricultural products to Europe, to infiltrate cocaine in large quantities.

However, recent episodes of violence between Albanian criminal organizations and other Colombian and Mexican organizations in Ecuadorian territory have encouraged the former to explore Peruvian territory, as the country's cocaine production has increased and there is a greater supply. Exactly on January 22 of this year, the Albanian Ergys Dashi, considered as the head of drug trafficking, was executed by an assassination attempt in a restaurant in Guayquil.
