"Fight against drugs", is expected to open a branch of DEA in Albania

Albania has passed the tests and is towards the opening of the DEA branch to continue cracking down on criminal groups and the fight against narcotics trafficking.

The DEA office in Albania will be the liaison office of the head office in Athens. Dea members will be with the Albanian police in border controls such as airport ports and land points.

The DEA branch focuses on the fight against drug trafficking, mainly cocaine, which in Albanian comes from Latin America.

From January until now, only from the information exchanged with the DEA, four operations for cocaine trafficking have been carried out in our country.

Meanwhile, a few days ago, a group of Albanian police leaders were in Ecuador where they also had contact with the anti-drug representative of the DEA.
