On the morning of February 18, the city of Shkodra was shaken by a serious incident where 34-year-old Kolë Manaj shot his partner of 5 years, Anila Ndoka , in the head and then killed himself.

The 34-year-old died at the scene, while his partner fought for her life for days, but unfortunately she did not survive the bullet to the head and as a result closed her eyes forever on the morning of February 24.

Anila left behind three children from her first marriage, while according to known information, the 34-year-old had no children. 

And as the days pass, the pain for Anila's family, and for Kola's as well, continues to grow.

It is the latter's sister who does not hesitate to publish photos with Kola on social networks.

Amidst the pain and tears, she shows how much she misses him.

"The most beautiful angel in heaven. Half of my soul. You are my sister's soul. You were the most beautiful soul in the world, and now you are the most beautiful angel in the next world. The best person who ever existed. I am proud of you, my sister's soul, and I will be as long as I live. You were and will be in the soul of my heart," writes Kolë Manaj's sister in one of her posts.

We recall that the serious incident occurred at around 11:15 on February 18 in the city of Shkodra, in the "Mark Lula" neighborhood.

34-year-old Kolë Manaj shot his partner of 5 years, Anila Ndoka, in the head and then killed himself.

As a result of the bullet, the 44-year-old woman was seriously injured and was transported to Shkodra Hospital where she remained in intensive care.

But, despite the help of white T-shirts, Anila, the mother of three, unfortunately did not survive, closing her eyes forever on the morning of February 24.

Anila Ndoka, the mother of three children from a previous marriage, aged 20, 18 and 9, had been living with the 34-year-old for years.

As we previously reported, the 44-year-old worked at the Municipality of Shkodra, while her partner was unemployed.

After this serious event, Anila's relatives, as well as Kolë Manaj's, spoke out.

The latter's cousin revealed that the couple had been having conflicts with each other in recent weeks, and the 44-year-old had even asked them to break up because she could not forgive him for something Kolë Manaj had done to her.

"There have been some conflicts recently but we thought everything would be fixed. They had been together for years and were very good people, I have her as a sister. I don't know if she will be saved or not, but I have her as a sister. I don't know, he just shouldn't have done anything because of what Anila did for his father. They weren't jealous of her at all. Kola had been married for a very short time before. I don't know what the problem was, but they had an argument and he apologized a lot but she didn't forgive him," he said.

Meanwhile, the investigator also uncovered several messages that the 34-year-old had sent to his partner before committing the extreme act.

One of the last messages, sent shortly before the incident, also indicated the serious psychological state that Manaj was in on February 18, the day he decided to shoot his cohabitant and then kill himself.

He had asked Anila, with whom he had been living together for 5 years, to meet, warning her that he would hurt himself if she did not agree to go out.

She had responded by asking him not to do anything wrong and to come and pick her up at work.

After this conversation, Manaj showed up near the 44-year-old's workplace where she got into his car and then started an argument between them.

A debate that later ended tragically, after the 34-year-old shot Anila in the head and then shot himself in the head. 

The latter died immediately at the scene, while the 44-year-old woman died on the morning of February 24.
