The opposition protest escalated after some protesters left the rally in front of Parliament, initially heading towards Police Station No. 4 and then to the Ministry of Interior, where tensions with police forces were noted.
At Police Station No. 4, where several protesters had been escorted earlier, demonstrators were positioned on both sides of the road, blocking vehicle traffic.
They threw eggs at the police station building and demanded the release of the detainees.
Afterwards, a group of protesters moved near the Ministry of Interior, where they clashed with police officers stationed at the security cordon.
Amid the tensions, the protesters chanted "sell-out deputies," while some of them pushed the officers and managed to tear down part of the metal fence placed around the institution.
