The Court of Appeals sentenced Erjon Llapushi to 17 years in prison this Thursday, July 2.
He was convicted of intentional murder after punching and killing waiter
Gazment Kurmaku.
The prosecution qualified it as intentional murder and requested a sentence of 20 years in prison.
The incident occurred on October 2, 2021, when the conflict between Llapushi and the victim began over a reserved table, leading to the fatal attack on Kurmaku.
The 57-year-old head waiter died in hospital 5 days after being hit with hard objects by Erjon Llapushi.
