Meta's protest at the incinerators, USA appeals to its citizens: The
American Embassy

The American Embassy in Tirana has reacted regarding the protest organized by Ilir Meta(s) this afternoon at the Tirana incinerator.

Through an announcement, the American embassy has informed its citizens not to expose themselves too much in the capital, as the situation can change quickly and unpredictably. Among other things, the embassy urges American citizens in Albania to monitor the media and follow the instructions of law enforcement authorities for the latest information.

"A protest is scheduled to take place today near the Sharra landfill about 6 kilometers west of the American embassy. US citizens are advised to avoid large gatherings. Although many major events pass peacefully, some situations can change quickly and unpredictably. Monitor local media and follow the instructions of law enforcement authorities for the latest information," the embassy's announcement reads.

Sali Berisha's Democratic Party joins Ilir Meta's call to protest this Tuesday, but sources indicate that the democratic leader himself will not participate due to other commitments.
