The Special Prosecution Office has reversed course by releasing the bank accounts of the Qatari company involved in the Zvërnec project. The accounts were blocked as part of an investigation into suspicions of a property alienation scheme in the area.

According to the portal lapsi.al, SPAK has released the accounts of Qatari billionaire brothers Ramez and Mohamad Al-Khayyat. The same sources said that the release of the accounts was done to avoid legal confrontations in the Court of Arbitration.

However, it is learned that SPAK continues investigations into the issue of land ownership.

Earlier, Prime Minister Rama also warned SPAK not to block foreign investors and to continue investigations into ownership issues.

SPAK has also seized the bank accounts of the company "Albania Land Development", as part of an investigation into a suspected property alienation scheme in the Zvërnec area.

One of the company's administrators, Redi Struga, has been subjected to a search by agents of the National Bureau of Investigation (BKH), as part of the ongoing investigation by SPAK. The investigation is suspected of being related to a possible mechanism for the transfer of state property into private hands.

At the center of the investigation is Artur Shehu, who currently lives in the United States. According to investigative sources, he is suspected of having had a leading role in the alleged property alienation scheme.
