Cosmetic products, coffee and…/ She was selling contraband goods, the

Saranda police arrested 49-year-old Silvana Koronaci after contraband goods were sold in the market where she was an administrator.

During the search, a significant amount of suspected contraband goods and goods subject to excise duty, which were not accompanied by relevant purchase documentation, was seized, specifically: 402 pieces of cosmetic products; 195 packages of coffee and other suspected contraband products.

Announcement:

Following continuous checks, also based on information obtained operationally, the Economic and Financial Crimes Investigation Section at the Vlora Police Department, during a check at a market-type commercial entity in Saranda, found contraband goods, in violation of tax and customs legislation, and, as a result, the citizen was arrested in flagrante delicto:

• SK, 49 years old, resident of Saranda, administrator of a commercial entity, for the criminal offenses of “Smuggling of goods subject to excise duty”, “Trading and transporting contraband goods” and “Hiding income”.

In conclusion, a significant amount of suspected contraband goods and goods subject to excise duty, which were not accompanied by relevant purchase documentation, was seized, specifically: 402 pieces of cosmetic products; 195 packages of coffee and other suspected contraband products.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
