 The Thessaloniki  Court has sentenced a 40-year-old Albanian man to 17 years in prison, accused of sexually and physically abusing his wife, in the presence of their minor children.

According to the 30-year-old, who filed the complaint in March, when she found the strength to break her silence, the defendant raped her almost every day.

According to the police statement, which was read in court after she failed to appear to testify, the 40-year-old physically abused her, even in the presence of their children, and raped her.

In fact, after her sexual abuse, the victim complained that the defendant… urinated on her.

He also stated that the 40-year-old was constantly walking around the house drunk and naked.

The Albanian was released on bail after his arrest and was tried in absentia after failing to appear in court.

After the verdict, he is considered a fugitive.
