The fourth protest in Tirana against construction in Zvërnec started with tensions.
Citizens set off from Skanderbeg Square towards the Prime Minister's Office, but this time they encountered a cordon of police forces that had been placed on both sides of Lana, as part of the measures for the friendly match between Albania and Israel, which will be played at 8:00 PM.
For this reason, the protesters were initially not allowed on the "Martyrs of the Nation" boulevard, which caused irritation and physical clashes between them and the Eagles officers.
"What a shame to be a police officer," "Open the road" - were some of the protesters' cries, and after several attempts, the area was finally unblocked.
The police used water cannons to disperse the crowd, but the citizens managed to reach the Prime Minister's Office, where they leveled accusations against both Prime Minister Edi Rama and the opposition leader, Sali Berisha.
Citizens are also demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Rama.
The Rapid Intervention Forces (RIF) are also on the ground, while a host of measures have been taken for the safety of the Israeli National Team players.
