Shkodra Police has appealed to drivers to be careful when driving, respect road signs, reduce speed, equip themselves with snow chains and winter tires, and follow the instructions of the Traffic Police services.

The appeal comes at a time when the Shkodra Region has been hit by bad weather, where in addition to rain, there has also been snowfall.

Currently, there is snow on the Tamarë-Selcë-Vermosh road axes; Bogë-Qafë Thorë-Theth and Pukë-Fushë Arëz-Qafë Mali, as snowfall continues without interruption.

The police announced that snowplows are on the ground and continue their work to clear the roads of snow and distribute salt.

The Traffic Police services, in cooperation with snowplows, came to the aid of a driver from Saranda who had been stranded on the Theth-Boga road axis, and had requested assistance from 112, as he was driving on summer tires and was unable to continue driving.
