Shkodra Police have continued intensive controls within the framework of the anti-cannabis operation codenamed "Coordinates", destroying a total of 9,317 suspected narcotic plants, of the Cannabis Sativa variety, planted in various areas of the district.

During the operation, a 52-year-old man, identified as AH, was declared wanted, who is suspected of having cultivated 46 narcotic plants in his apartment in the village of Kamicë. Meanwhile, the mayor of the village of Ndrejaj, citizen NV, was prosecuted for the criminal offense of "Abuse of office".

The operation revealed the peak of cultivation in several administrative units: in Shosh and Pult, the services of the Shkodra Police Commissariat found and destroyed 4,403 plants; in Shllak and Temal, the Vau i Dejës Commissariat destroyed 4,547 plants; in Kastrat and Qendër, in cooperation with the Shkodra DVKM, 347 plants were seized and destroyed; while in the Fierzë administrative unit, the Puka Commissariat destroyed 20 plants.

The police announce that the "Coordinates" operation continues with intensity throughout the territory of the Shkodra region, with the aim of preventing and cracking down on cases of cultivation of narcotic plants. Work continues to identify and capture other implicated persons.
