The Special Prosecution Office has requested that the testimony of the repentant justice Nuredin Dumani, in connection with the "Golden Bullet" trial, be conducted without the presence of the media and that the trial continue behind closed doors.
SPAK's request has not been welcomed by the other defendants, who have stated that they want everything to take place with the media present.
"I want my speech to be transparent and the session to be held with open doors. I request that the media be present in the courtroom," said defendant Petrit Çoli.
Meanwhile, lawyers have emphasized that there are no legitimate reasons for the process to continue behind closed doors.
"The media is the second arbitrator in this courtroom, as there are no legitimate reasons to close the doors of the court when the defendant has given more than half of the testimony," they declared.
